Bally Alpha Reel Games / Re: Bally Black and White Jackpot Quick Hits

The nvram error will not go away until you perform a clear procedure, you will need a clear card.  There's also a battery on the backpane right around the area where the mpu connects to it.  If you pull the mpu out, you should be able to see it between the 2 connectors.

I have my first IGT Gameking I-game. has 3902 MPU. I have the original 3902 board that has some Joker Poker and Keno games. It works properly and have utilized the keychip 22 to change the 12 allowable games. Additionally, I bought a second 3902 with a bunch of other game Poker/Black Jack/Keno and Slots (a 55 game chip set). I would prefer the new board and games in my machine. However, when I swap out the boards, a different style keychip menu comes up. It allows me to do most of the same setup as my other board except it doesnt seem to have a place to change the setting to disable the coin acceptor. I can disable the hopper. When I go to put the machine into play, I get a "coin - in Jam " error message. Am I missing something in the key chip settings? Do I need a different keychip than the 22? I can see everyting else behind the error message. It lets me set the whole thing up but just cant get to play with the uncleared issue. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

First - please do NOT use offsite image hosting. The photos will disappear over time. Please use the NLG attachment bar.

It's a software issue. Most of the members here are from the USA but we do have a couple of Canadian members. I'll reach out to them and hopefully they're reply here.

I want to try using whatever dishwasher soap you used to get the spaghetti stains off of my Tupperware bowls!  :24:

I sure would like to find out what the original amount was with this machine. Does the model number have some sort of decoding?

No....they don't have manufacture build labels, like on automobiles.
Whatever decoder guide that's sandwiched in between the coin-in optics and the size of the slot hole on top of the button deck pretty much tells us what denomination the cabinet was originally set up for.

Take the coin-in optics apart and show me a photo of both sides of it.
There WILL be a part No. molded on the plastics.
You need to take the coin-in optics apart anyways...there could be dust balls starting to block up the three optic holes.... those should be cleared of any debris so the optical emitter beams can go thru to be picked up by the receiver optics.

If you have the coin hopper for the machine, place a quarter on the top of the wheel shelf and snap a photo of the coin sitting in between the wheel nibs.
I could tell you what hopper wheel you have.

Thanks.
The hopper is missing, I am going to be purchasing one during the rebuild of this machine. I will get some photos of the optics ASAP.

Try putting a dollar through the coin coin head. If it goes in then that is that is the most likely.
If it was setup for a quarter then the dollar won't go through it.

Secondly the coin in optic board will have a spacer in place. Stayoutofthebunker (Mark) outlined how to take it apart and send him a pic of it.
That spacer is also a good indication if it was setup for dollars or quarters.

I threw it in the dishwasher! It came out nice.  :woot: :woot:
