Looks like a 955, but what has me puzzled is the win meter? I have a nice MGM Grand 955, but mine does not have a win meter...

The guy I'm trying to purchase this machine from takes forever to get back to me I've sent him several emails and 2-3 days later he responds back... he's at a 100 bucks for it but I don't know if it has keys or if it even works, I've been looking for a Low Boy but I don't want to cart away his garbage either, he just keeps telling me it's a family heirloom that's been sitting around for years and just wants it gone, but he can't be in that much of a rush he never gets back to me. These are just a few other pics he sent me, and I think the belly glass is to the top of a machine so I agree with Reno there might be some retrofitting... I will keep everyone posted

At $100 even if it doesn't work it is well worth it it is a beautiful low boy

Worst case you'll just have to make the 13-hour Drive bring it over here spend the night will fix it the next day then drive home :stirthepot:

I agree with Jon, the price is right. Low boys are hard to find. The glass looks great too. I'd buy it..

Jon I'm not 100% sure my self. I would just put it under the General Chat section.

http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?board=74.0

Or in the early IGT M section. Are you sure that's not a Aristocrat?

That's a great deal... Drill out the lock, or stop by a lock smith on your way home. They should be able to open it.. You can get your self a new lock for $10 to $15.00. Keep us posted..

Great deal!
From looking at the photos, it looks to be untouched as far as being worked over a few times.
Evidence being tar and nicotine stains on the chrome, suggesting straight out of a casino and untouched.
But the inside will give you a better scene of the machine.
If the lock appears to be original and it's not expensive, I would go for a key being made.
The new locks are not of the quality like the locks from the 60s, and I've found there is some adjusting and or tweeting when installing modern locks.

Since the machine has not been opened since who knows when.
How about splitting the contents 50/50 for the person with the closest guess.
Just kidding hope you get your money back.

My guess would be $14.75

I think its going to be higher.. $22.50.  Heck the change inside should pay for the lock smith. Make sure that you get every quarter out if the machines bottom before trying to power it up. Dig behind the transformer and safety time in the back left.

Higher.    $50.    200 quarters ain't a real lot in hopper.   Especially if its been locked.

If possible transport upright, not on its back.  Regardless of orientation, always protect the glass when moving.

Hey everyone OK got it and I'm pretty psyched it's in great condition. The locked was drilled out and sorry there was only 2 quarters in the hopper. I did plug it in and only some of the lights work, and I did check the bulbs and they all work. The fluorescent bulb doesn't work either. It hasn't been used in about 15-20 yrs the owner told me so he just wanted it gone. It definitely has a lot going on and I'm hoping to get it fully functionable. Dave, Reno, Jon, Amechanic and everyone get ready. I hope I don't fail on this one it's really awesome. Here are some pics

PS it is a 955 it's stamped on the inside. I did find one bad fuse and the coin mech did click in and out now. But hoping a good cleaning can get the electrical contacts working again.

Nice machine, glad you got it.
A good cleaning should do wonders for the machine. If the ends of the fluorescent tube aren't real dark, try cleaning the pins. I like using a sharp blade which leaves little burrs. These burrs clean and help make contact with the socket clips. Replace the lamp and giving it a few twist back and forth with the machine on. Sometimes it take awhile for the lamp to light up. I've almost given up on lamps and suddenly it will work.

Have fun working on your new project.
