BB1 slant top Goldfish, not able to set parameters after ram clear

I checked the switch with a meter. It is ok. I also checked continuity of the wire from the switch to J10. It checked good also. I did not check the common wire. Would I assume the common wire is ok, as it goes from switch to switch?


I will try shorting the pins on J10 and see what happens.

Try the LOWER door !!  I think I saw an earlier post in this thread about slant tops' main door being the lower one.....

Ok,  I just now made a breakthrough. I wasn't able to get to the machine because it is at my sisters house and she was out of town. It turns out, on the slant top BB1, both the hood door and lower/main door must be open to access the diagnostic menu. The person I bought the machine from, taped the lower door switch closed. I am now in the diagnostic menu and setting options.

Hi All,
I set up the machine and its playing fine, but I somehow missed the part of the setup where I set the number of coins per line. The game is at 5 per line, but the buttons say 10 per line. Can anyone tell me where in the setup menu I can select the number of coins per line?

If you wish to match your button panel, set the max bet at the lines x bet amount, so 25 line game times 10 bet on the button panel would be 250 max bet setting... If there's a mismatch from changing software, it may not be able to be corrected without button label fixes.
There are regularly multiple "pages" of max bets, be sure and hit next page to find the correct one.
Each denom has to be max bet set  before saving the whole setting.

for the record, to get to the area where you can change that, there should be a game setup button.  That will take you to the maxbet settings.  You must do this with zero credits on your machine.

I never saw anything that said max bet. Is it the same for BB1 and BB2?

You may have to clear it again and start over. After you have set the other settings, and the game finishes loading and comes up, push the diagnostic button with the doors open, and select game settings.  Then you can pick your max bets for each denomination you have set up.
