Bally Alpha S9000
« on: July 30, 2014, 04:17:16 PM »
I just purchased a Bally Alpha s9000 3 reel. Is it better to keep it on 24/7 vs shutting it down and restarting . I am concerned with the wear / or surge on the power supply, and other boards, Also wondering if it off how long does the battery last. Also concerned with the upper monitor having on , plus rebooting will it put a strain on it. I know it is a lot of questions, Thks Ken

These machines are designed for a casino setting, meaning ON 24/7. This topic has been of much debate on this forum, however, no one can prove (one way or the other) if shutting them off or keeping the, on causes more stress. For energy conservation, most of us shut the machines down when we are not using them though. No ill effects reported thus far....so you are safe to power off when not in use.

I don't leave my machines on 24/7...but I do try and turn them on for atleast 3 or more hours and let them run...that's just me being weird.....also, I picked up a habit from harvs with always leaving the reels on a non win so the leds will not flash until someone spins it...cause they wont go off.

If its made to be on 24/7, then ovisiouly, they should be about to handle on/off cycles. You would think....
