Aristocrat MKV problem
« on: May 10, 2017, 10:28:44 PM »
howdy all im new to this forum and have just purchased my first electronic pokie machine. Its a australian version 1997 aristocrat mkv machine with coin and note mechs and ardonis game board.
I am stumped on a lock out that i just can't seam to fix.

The lock up error is "Bill acceptor door is open" i jave been told this is the door at the front and have checked the seitch that sits between the fluro globes at front and it seams to be working fine is thete another switch hidden for the front door as I can't find another seitch anywhere have looked at the locking mechanism and cannot see any switch anywhere this has got me stumped so any advice is appreciated thank you

MarkV BV door switches are mounted underneath the BV assembly.

Howdy i had a feeling it may be under the bv the only information i could find is the picture i have here which shows a switch on the right of picture.

I have recently got this machine working and i think it was poor connection from the game board as it was playing up and restarting every 5 seconds and each time i removed the (middle) game board it was coming up with different errors from hopper jam to top box open to this same error. If it happens again at least i have some idea as i got told from a tech that that error is for the door at the front (big switch at front inbetween the fluro lights)but in that picture i have attached it shows a switch under the bv (although i havent pulled it apart i cannot for the life of me see anything that looks like a switch or any wires running to under bv)is there 2 switches that work for the front door ? That bring up the bill acceptor door lockout ?
I have downloaded the aristrocrat mav 500 gaming manual but that shows note acceptor inside machine not on the door like mine is, there much difference between them mechanically ?
I am a little new to these machines but trying to learn as much as possible especially if it comes up again

The belly door will also throw a bv error for open door, not sure exactly which error it gives but I think that door and the bv door are in series with each other.
