Bally Electromechanical / 831-4Z payout counter coil not working
« Last post by David Walz on Today at 03:05:23 PM »
831-4Z  payout counter coil is not working, that's the issue. The coil is fine I checked it out.

The 94 wire Is in the hopper plug #24 position.
The 94 wire is in the reels plug #22 position.

I don't have a wiring diagram W-1046-1838 to trace the wiring in the reels, to locate the defective switch. This machine was in excellent condition, very nice, just cleaned the grease off, it was working fine for a long time.
Anyone who has some information on this issue.

I followed all the wires from the printer and it all seems connected, I do have a green light on the printer and I do get a test ticket when I press and hold the button.

I just got an ekey7.
With that key, is there any way to remove the credits in the machine?   Most places I look, it says that no changes can be made with credits.

All help will be appreciated.

Thank you

The error in the picture is because the boot 2 chips is faulty or in backwards.

It was something but not sure what. Guess something from cleaning or flux under the game eprom in U21. Could clean it out with isopropanol alcohol. See picture.

But this wasn’t causing the issues. Think it was either the rams in U19 and U46 or the game proms in U19 and U46.

BALLY Game Maker / TRIPLE TROUBLE GAME OPTIONS
« Last post by 61Wally on Today at 12:04:23 PM »
Does Anyone know how many different Triple Trouble games that are available? I’m trying to find something to replace the boring slot games. Right now I have “T. T.” in a slot, poker, and keno game. The machine is the “GOLD MINE BONUS” model. I have 7 other boards with games, none that really jump out at you. Be nice to have 10 different bonus games on this board. U appreciate everyone’s input on this topic.

Took all roms out and saw some leftovers under 1 chip.

I'm am curious as to what in the world did you mean by "leftovers"...broken chip legs? and also which chip?

So, after gently removing U79 and the battery I still got the reels 5 tilt error. Swapping the reel with 4 didn’t make any changes.

Investigated the board further and decided to go for an extra cleaning on the battery area which also didn’t resolve the issue.

Took all roms out and saw some leftovers under 1 chip. Cleaned everything and after that it seems to looks fine.  All reels move like they should.

Just had 1 shutdown  :Scratch-Head: screen goos black and it said waiting for display (or something like that)

Probably going to find the issue in the log.

Guess I’ll have to go looking for some new rams.

Thanks all for the effort.  :hail: :hail:

I am looking to buy a candle for a Bally E2000

You’re absolutely correct, I’m great at math but the way they word some stuff is confusing sometimes. like S2000’S. Enable/Disable a coinless machine. Why don’t they ask allow coins/token, Yes or No!!!
I’m trying to find the best board out of 14 here, They have some different games on them. I’m trying to condense 54 machines down to around 30 in my game room!!!
Any suggestions/thoughts/advice on the UBA swap. I have a bunch of them that have the latest version of US currency updates.
Thx for the help NLG members l

IGT PE and PE Plus Poker Games / Re: Moving PE+Slant board to PE+ Upright?
« Last post by jay on Today at 08:37:12 AM »
You might be a bit confused here.

The denomination your SET on the bill validator is the value that you need to add a credit.
Ie Set the Validator for 0.25 and insert a $1 - you get 4 credits.
Set the Validator for 0.01 and insert a $1 you get 100 credits.
Set the Validator for $5 and you need to insert 5 x $1 bills to get 1 credit
Set the Validator for $5 and insert a $20 you get 4 credits.....
Set the Validator for $2500 and you are putting in 25x$100 bills to get 1 credit.
** IF you have that much scratch laying around to play with this... Count me as suitably impressed.

On the other side of the system you have a Credit Limit, Hopper Limit and these are measured in coins (not value).
So if you were running the machine at $5 per credit ... then typically you would be using a large format coin comparitor CC-33 (not CC-16) and a $5 token .... leaving your hopper maximum at something reasonable like 400 would equate to $2000 worth of $5 tokens. The value for the hopper limit would still be 400.

Hoppers on a PE+ are pretty full at 800 coins.
