Hi again,

Got my parts back yesterday from my original vendor (who sold me the machine 7 years ago) and NEARLY everything is back to normal.... now my machine accepts bills again, and coins again....  YEA !!!

IGT S Plus  Double Cherry Bar  ( 10 Mhz  motherboard ).   SP731 chip.

Question,  when you power down your machine if you aren't playing it.....  do you  just unplug it from the wall,   or open up the door and turn off the power switch each time?   Keep in mind,  I'm  the Noobie  who left my machine on continuously for 7 years  as  I that mistakenly thought it would kill the battery otherwise.  We are often gone 2 or 3 weeks at a time to our lake home and would prefer to shut this down  PROPERLY  when not using.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Richard

Plug machine power into a power strip and turn off and on from that.

Hey strake to add to Ohiogammings response. Most of us on here use good quality surge protectors. The higher the Jules rating the better. A close lightning strike could wipe out a lot of electronics in that machine. The better ones will even show when their protection level is or has dropped and needs to be replaced. And you can run multiple machines on 1 protector. I run 3 or 4 on mine. Something to think about.
