Alpha roll-up speed
« on: May 06, 2014, 06:42:06 PM »
I have several Alpha games where the credits roll-up very quickly, like over 100 credit on a win in 4 seconds. I also have some games that are very slow to roll-up. When I install a Hot Shot Progressive and program accounting for one cent, the machine credit is one cent and max bet is 200 credits, a win of 100 credit can take 45 seconds to roll up at half the wager amount. This really slows down game play. Naturally you can hit max bet and stop the roll-up, but is there a way to have it count up the credits fast like some of the other games?
If not I may have to reprogram so a credit is 5 cents and max bet is 40 credits.
Open to suggestions.  :Scratch-Head:

Which version of Hot Shot?

In my experience I can run Hot Shot 15 reel in a 256, 512, 1GH board. The credit rack up is extremely slow on a 256 MPU and normal on a  1GH board.

Seems odd that it takes that much memory to count up doesn't it?

I don't think I pointed that out in my MPU comparison video but there is a difference between the boards.

Another note, Some games are programmed differently then others.

Thanks for the reply, I'm using the 512MB CPU and I have noticed that the larger wins roll up quickly at the end so not to take too, too long.
