Marc what video card is in the A2? If you go back to another game, it will display? What OS are you using?

See pic attached to help identify the board. Backstory... I wanted to get stereo sound, so I purchased the Multimedia Lite Board II for the machine. When I plug the soundcard into the board and turn on the machine I instantly hear a static noise, usually associated with a bad ground. Before I plugged in the soundcard there was no static, and only sound coming out of the right speaker. When I hit spin, I can audibly hear the humm from the reel motors the duration of the spin. I found a video on youtube that shows the issue I am having and how he modded his board to solidify the ground connections on the PCB. My issue Is I don't have the same board, I don't know what board i have, and am looking for schematics on how to reinforce the ground connections to get better sound in stereo. Any help in identifying the board, or offering wiring solutions would be appreciated.
Here is the youtube video i was referencing, https://youtu.be/NE-8_tUSy2s?si=egLdwgAl_TlWehoQ&t=178

Pics of my board attached.

IGT S and S-plus Reel Games / Re: IGT Double diamond need some help
« Last post by David Walz on Today at 10:19:47 AM »
It's hard to tell by those photos whether it's just dirty with surface rust, or if it's pitted where it would need re-plating.
Has the seller stated if it works or not? I'm assuming no but some S plus fixes are quite easy! And it's a "nudge" machine which are much more fun than the regular 'ol Double Diamond.
I'd pay $200 for it, provided the machine just needs minor repairs and a good cleaning. Some parts though, like the MPU are getting more expensive to replace. I'd seen them on eBay for $30 but now the prices have gone up. We still have members here though that would give sell one at a fair price.

"Supposedly" works free play. So, it's a good candidate for a builder.  It's a S plus?

IGT I-Game and Game King / IGT Game King Multigame doesn't boot up
« Last post by kmarrocco on Today at 10:10:18 AM »
Hello, I have a game king multigame that does not seem to boot up.  The person I got it from said the display likely works but the power supply may be bad.  How can I verify this?  I am attaching a picture of the lights on the MPU as well as a video of me turning it on.

Nothing wrong with no meters.  Usually meters were pulled out when machines were sold to public.  (At least that's what I was told.)

I am kind of a traditionalist, and put meters back in when possible.

I don't guess it would hurt anything to leave it not hooked up if I decided to would it?

Replace meter.   They come up for sale from time to time.    Here and on eBay.    If I have a spare I will pm you.

Other Reel Games / Summit - Coin in bell
« Last post by mwade109 on Today at 09:27:42 AM »
Hey, I got this Summit and it is the second one that had had the same problem.  Machine works pretty good but when you insert a coin, sometimes it will ding on every coin and two dings on the 5th coin and sometimes it will ding on just random inserts.  Any idea on this.  I sold the last one doing this but if there is a fairly easy way to correct this I would rather it dinging correctly.  This machine isn't going to be sold for much as it is ugly with the crappy brushed metal panels on the outside, the front door has severe pitting (shines up pretty nice but much pitting) and the handle pretty much un-chromed.  Usually I just part it out on ebay but there is not a lot of interest in the Summit parts and it may take years to get rid of them.

So... enough rambling, any ideas?

Hey all,

I've had no issues with the other games showing on the main curve display, but for some reason, Code red will not display the reels on the curve display. Top display and iDeck are fine. Game plays fine. Curve display dark.

Another thing - it seems every time I boot it gets confused which display is which. Sometimes it will show the curve display on the iDeck, etc.

Could it be an OS related issue?

Thanks!

Well it was not a switch. The pictures were deceiving. The switch connections are pretty far away from metal. I will get the shrink tube back on all of them like it should be though.
I disconnected all of the wires off of the meter marked CASH BOX and put a wire nut on the two orange wires to make sure they were still connected. I then put a wire nut on the other wire just to protect it. After doing this the fuse does not blow. I put the hopper back in and everything on the machine works and plays as it should.
When the meter was hooked up it did seem to operate before it blew the fuse each time. So would it be the meter is shorting out internally? Do you know if this could be fixed?
What are my options short of just leaving it unhooked?

   Thanks
