Exiting Tournament Mode on S+ (PG0176)
« on: March 08, 2017, 05:33:50 PM »

Hi there, I have an IGT S+ 10mhz machine (DD 3cm). As purchased it was a tournament machine. I wish to switch this to regular coin play. I have purchased and installed a CC and a hopper, but, I cannot seem to exit tournament mode (unable to switch from 9_1 to 9_0). This machine currently has SP0735 and PG0176 installed.

From my understanding, some PROMs do not contain non-tournament mode (0). I have tried to research this, but, have found no additional details.

My hope is installing new EPROMs (ST0001/SP1311?) will allow both tournament and regular play. Am I on the right track? If so any suggestions for a reputable seller?

Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to the site!  :NLG_WELCOME:

You are correct, SP735 is tournament (Type 14) only.  I'm not familiar with a "PG" chip on an S+ machine.

You are also correct that the ST001 with SP1311 (or any other SP chip that supports both type 0 and type 14 games) will allow you to use the machine in either tournament mode or regular coin play.

I'd post a WTB (Want To Buy) post here on the site and one of the vendors or members who has those chips can help you out. Post here:
