Title: Universal slot machines
Post by: jrequia1 on June 13, 2016, 09:33:09 PM
Need a little help here. I have 4 universal stars and stripes slot machines set up for tournament play. 2 working, one not working, and one im looking at for parts. The 2 that work, im trying to convert to coin operated. Wondering if this is possible and where to find parts.

Basically looking for everything to turn it into a coin operated.  Its a tournament style right now. It only has the max bet button and change button. So I'd need the coin slot,hopper and everything else to go with it.

Universal parts are getting hard to find. But a Want to Buy add here on NLG should get you going. Universal had different tournament machine versions. Some came with hopper and coin-in and some did not. A pic of your machine(s) posted here would help! Outside and in. Looks like you need at least the following;
-Hopper, Standard or red high speed hopper
-Hopper harness cable matching type of hopper
-Coin in assembly with optics.
-CC-16D coin comparitor or other usable coin comparitor
-CC-16D harness
-Sub-board located on 8116 board at location 1A.
-Cut traces on the tournament board will need repairing (4)
-Game and System EPROMS for your game.
Maybe BET 1 and SPIN buttons.

No easy task!

I too just got a universal ultra machine. Can't find anyone local to service it. Hopefully I can learn from this site how to fix it. I've been reading a lot of posts on here. Learning alot. Not sure if this is a proper post, I was trying to figure out how to make my own post on here but haven't figured that out yet either lol.

I have a few hopper parts and a comparitor holster, but not anything close to what all you'll need. if you ever part out any of them I'm looking for a nice set of the reel strips or complete reel assy w/strips or a complete machine. Good luck on your parts search. If you find them all I have a game chip
