Touch Screen Calibration
« on: February 19, 2017, 09:01:48 PM »
My first BB1 and some learning questions,  I had an error and from the forum I found that I needed to do a ram clear. I did that but during set up I am unable to enter things on the touch screen. Seems that it is not aiming where I touch it. I found the test screen , but the question I have is It says to center the window before entering calibration, how I don’t see any means of how to. I attached a screen shot, does it look like what is should. I went on and touched the two crosses, but it did not correct my problem. I did find the screen that lets you touch and it places an x. Seems that the x is placed right and low about 5 o’clock. Any suggestions from those in the know, Thanks in advance.

The screen looks centered.  When you do the calibration, you hold your finger on the "X" until it moves away to the other "X."  Then you do the same thing for the second "X."  After that, you should be able to run your finger across the screen to verify that it is working correctly.  I usually try to go around the entire edge to see if it registers on the edges.  If there's an edge you cannot get to, then you may have a damanged touchscreen glass.

Thanks Rick
I did about three more clears, each time the touch screen was not pointing where it should. On the last clear I had my wife touch the screen and it appeared to be working fine, seems like every time I touch a screen I mess it up, phone, computer and or slot, guess that says 'I don't have the touch. Thanks again I have the machine up and running now.
