Title: CEI 903 Diagnostic prom?
Post by: SolidSilver on February 22, 2014, 03:51:29 PM

Been collecting CEI 903/904 gaming software, anything I can get that is different from the usual v23.9 with 94% RTP,
just to make sense of it all. Have been offered a "903 Diagnostic" prom. Any idea what it does, how it's used, and if I need additional proms or hardware to use it?

903 diagnostic PROM is for testing the 903-904 logic board.  Diagnostic PROM is inserted into U9 socket, CGO U67 needs to be in place.  The rest of the PROMS can be in place or not.  It is a very handy tool for board repair.  There is another test PROM for 905 boards.  Anyone know if there is one for 906 boards?

Yap... Just keep the chars ROMs, and replace the whole program bunch with the diagnostics one. You don't need addittional hardware. Just run it.... The program will check for all functions and will allow you to do some little test on the board.
