Need help with my IGT M slot
« on: December 06, 2014, 06:11:54 AM »
Having problems with reel 3. Tested it in the input section and it is not seeing reel movement. Swapped the assembly with reel 2 assembly and the problem follows the assembly. The ribbon appears to have continuity so i think the problem is the photo detector. Does anyone have a photo detector or part # of a replacement ?

Have available a good tested actuator, if interested.

Gordy do you possibly still have one available? I think my optical sensor is bad on mine.

Hi all

Don't want to hijack this thread but my problem is also with the reel actuators. When I start the machine the cam turns over pushes the actuators into the correct position (I made bearings with my cnc machine out of MDF wood, probably wont last long  :rotfl: ) but the coils don't fire.
I have connected power directly to the coils and they are definitely working.
I have checked and traced all wiring and it seems to be good.
This problem is on all reels as I tested them by using the Reset switch and menu.

Could it be possible for some of the transistor to have blown on the Main board (MPU) ?

Thanks in advance.

New one to me. May have a board and a couple agitators for sale but it would be a stab in the dark.  Those agitators are hard to tell if they are working but I have a working M slot and can test.

Hi Gordy

Thanks for your reply.
How much for the board and 3 actuators ?
Are the boards universal to all 3 reel games ?

In the meantime I have some electronic boffins checking out my board and Transistors.

Regards
Pieter
