I was able to release the latch holding the bill acceptor and cash box in the machine. I have the latch assembly out, and I'm currently modifying a new release cam on the lock since it didn't have the right one. Once reinstalled I can address the bill acceptor problem. Then move on to the reset keys needed.

Any luck with the BV?
It might just be something in the settings like the limits being set to zero. Can you go back to the initialization menu? Sorry I got lost as to your progress!

The machine has a max coin payout of 1000 coins. I have everything fixed now except for the BV.. I'm hoping to get it to at least take singles. I plan on going back into the menu today and see if I can run a bill Validator test.
I only have a few small things to address, Belly glass is loose on one end, missing a nut on retaining bracket, then just a little chrome polish, and glass cleaner.  Not a bad machine for $100 + $40 for having keys made.

Well I went into the menu today and looked around.. I found the communication test, but I wasn't sure what to do? I took a couple pictures of different screens. One show some numbers under bill valadator. I can clear the numbers to zero, but start growing right away again. The other screen shows configuration, and current settings. It shows its set as a quarter machine, but under bill validator its showing a $0 for 0 credits?
I do not see a way to make any changes? I'm thinking of pulling the MPU out and taking to battery out. I think this is the only way to totally start over?
I know when I tried inserting a dollar bill in test mode I was getting a dirrection error? I thought the DBV-200 would read from any dirrection?

That's what I was going to say - pull out the battery. I'd leave it out for awhile too, then try the reset again. I never saw those menus when I did this.
No the BV 200 is directional. I think the bill head has to be to the left.

Apparenty NLG is just you, me and tilt!
Kind of disappointing - usually this kind of post would have had all kinds of members chiming in just for the fun of fixing this machine, whether they were familiar with it or not.
