Does anyone know if Rudy's Deals.com is still in business?
I just ordered a part and someone told me they they have shut down.

Not sure but the last time I tried to order there was a problem with his PayPal. Not a good sign.

I heard that John was not in good health, BUT I haven't talked to him in a long time.......

I also ordered some glass online from Rudy's on the 25th. I'll post an update with my progress on the order so others will know if there are issues.

Last deal I did they had to refund my money as they say they shipped but I never received, communication was very slow as well

I sent them a message last night thru their website asking if the business was still operating, got this reply right away:

"Yes we are, And we have been changing our software and
servers due to problems with our other co we had and caused us a lot of
problems. We also have added another warehouse and are trying to get
that in order also. I hope this helps. Thank You, Nicole"

FYI, I received an update to my account saying the order was being processed and a separate email from Nicole addressing another matter.

Sadly - don't buy from this site anymore - I just got this email - about a label they couldn't print -
but it has worked for the last 7 years I've purchased from them. - dead site

Just an FYI about my order. I did receive yesterday and was well packaged and correct. I am not endorsing, but just wanted to follow up to my original comment.

Glad to hear it. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, mine is that I think they are trying but have had some problems. This hobby is generally becoming a smaller circle over time, I'd like to have as many sources as possible for as long as we can. It's like many other buying choices such as cars, groceries and clothes, if you want to shop somewhere else, especially if you've had a bad experience, then you probably should do that if it makes you more comfortable.

Is Rudy's deals open or closed.??? I've got quite a few phone calls here at the shop asking if this company is still viable and doing business... :Scratch-Head: :duh: :banghead:

For what it's worth,
I was talking with another NLG user that lives not too far from Rudy's. He told me he had been in contact with them this month and was planning to visit to look at some parts. So as far as I know they are still open, but not sure to what extent.

Their website is still up, but hasn't been updated in quite awhile.

The home page hasn’t been changed in a
Year and I placed an order on an item
Not on the home page and it was never
Delivered - I had to get a refund.
It’s a shame - they were pioneers with
their website. Not just selling crap on eBay.

I ordered from Rudy's on Sept 8 and i recieved my ordered. It was a late delivery as they had family issues in the Florida Hurricane at the time. They responded to my emails and I received my items as always.

This has been a dead post for over 120 days so I thought I'd give Rudy's a try...
BIG MISTAKE!!!
I followed the link on our NLG home page to their website and placed an order. It took 2 days before it went to processing in my order history. After a week I e-mailed and asked if it might have been shipped. I got a reply/apology that they had a server problem, Nicole would get back to me...
That is the same excuse you guys have gotten 6 months ago!
It has been over 3 weeks and my order is still processing. Now I get NO response to any inquiry for an order update or tracking number...
We have some good [great] vendors here on NLG that don't have a link on the home page, does Rudy's really deserve to have that space they hold? I don't like being so harsh, is it time for some spring cleaning Joey?
Rudy's was a waste of my time and my next step is going after PayPal to get my money back...
People hate being sick. I always say if you never got sick you might take being well for granted. Dealing with Rudy's makes me appreciate the finer vendors I deal with on NLG! Thank you to the good ones! BTw...

I don't see their link on the home page anymore. Sorry for your bad experience, they were at one time a great company/people to deal with. They often offered some great deals on their website and Ebay too. Many times they tossed "free extras" in your package. Coin cups from a casino, a player's club card tether, and even in one case for me a free MML card with software.
However, in last several months it seems that orders went one of two ways. You ordered something and got it quickly, or you didn't. If you didn't, communication with them was extremely poor or next to impossible and resulted in upset people posting here. Those posts were often met by others who had have positive dealings with them.
Sadly, I would have to say "buyer beware" in purchasing anything from them now too.

I agree..Rudys use to be really good.Now I wouldnt take a chance ordering from them.
I dont think Central Valley slots is in business anymore either.I tried contacting Roz a number of times with no response.

In October 2017, I ordered a $5 part from them ($8.80 with shipping), then 2 weeks later received a refund and an email explaining that their server did not remove that item when it was sold out. Your results might vary.
I made an inquiry about an item, and got a reply that they'd check, but I never heard back.

I think it is up & down with them for some reason, and mostly down lately. Luckily there are several other good slot machine & parts sellers here, along with a good community of hobbyists that often have stuff for sale.

Does Paypal pay Rudy's right away or do they get paid when they ship?

I believe PayPal is an instant payment system. They don't monitor the status of items getting shipped to you. But the person you send payment to has to "accept" the payment for it to get processed.
You can contact paypal customer service at their website and check with them about it. Or call them at 1-888-221-1161.

If your pay pal hasn't been processed yet, I'd cancel the order through pay pal, telling them that the order was not received and there was no response from the seller. Then find another seller.

The last order I placed from them shipped but took 2 months to make it.
The first order was incomplete.
I asked them for an update or maybe just cancel the whole thing. It is over $100.
They got some many cool parts... :(

from what I've heard they are *still* doing business but things are frequently iffy about orders getting handled right. No way it should take over a week for purchased items to get shipped. So something has happened, your order got dropped or they didn't have the items you ordered, etc. Their website has the phone number so you could try calling, then if no response cancel your payment at paypal.

Based on advice from here, I contacted Rudy's and requested a status on order or a refund.
They issued me a refund and said due to a death in the family they are refunding my money.

The original Rudys Deals was named after the dog that had died.

John posted to the forum not too long ago I think it was on one of the Denny topics. We should probably wait and find out the real issue rather than speculate.

yes, but I don't think that was verified to be true, just a rumor or something.
I think therockinelvis recently mentioned a possible get-together with John (from Rudy's Deals) concerning Denny's recent funeral. So Jim was in contact with John not long ago.

Yes, I saw John at Denny's funeral. He is NOT dead. I know he has had many health issues. I am pretty sure that someone took over the business.
