Cubs are headed to the playoffs, again!

I've always like the Cubs. I have been watching them since cable tv came into our homes, and they had light on the stadium. Harry Carry singing Take Me Out to the Ball Game during the 7th inning stretch. It good to see them playing well. As for me Home team the Detroit Tigers, it been a horrible year and one hard to watch. Long time players and key pieces have been traded off. The Cubs got 2 of those traded players. Going to be a few lean years here as we rebuild. A new manager will be here too. I guess if the Cubs could wait a 100 years, then I can survive a few here myself.

Hang in there, maybe it will come back around for them soon. In the mean time you can watch the former Tigers play well for the Cubs and know that some of their training and experience came from your team. My time with Harry Carry goes back to when he broadcast for the Cardinals, then he moved to the Cubs. Him and Steve Stone made a great pair of game announcers on WGN. Loved the guy, he was such an entertainer and supporter of the players even when they did stuff they shouldn't have.
