Bally Alpha 2 Pro V32 - Door Issues
« on: September 02, 2017, 12:03:43 PM »
I looking for some help or advise on this machine.  I just picked it up last week and I noticed that the main door that holds the 32" monitor won't close and latch.  I have tried everything but it just seems like the latch does not push all the way back to make the hinge lock.  I found a couple of adjustors but they dont help.  Has anyone with this machine had this type of issue?  If so how did you fix it?

Thanks for any help you can give.

*****Solved*****

After spending a couple weeks on this issue and taking a lot of thing apart.  This issue was being caused by the bill validator bezel.  The bezel was causing the Ideck door not to close properly.  Which in turn was causing the top door not to close all the way so it would not lock the latches.

I had to grind and sand both bottom edges of the bezel off, which allowed everything to close correctly.  Now the door finally closes all the way and latches.

Problem solved.....  Thank God!!!! :)

Did you make sure your cable/yellow handle is pushed back in?.  Was it open when you received it?.

Yes it would not lock shut when I got it. It’s the top door with the screen.l that won’t latch. The bottom door works perfect. The yellow handles works the bottoms door but I will make sure it is pushed all the way in and see if that helps.

Thanks

I checked the yellow handle and it is all the way in so that is not causing my issue.  As I mess with this issue more I noticed that the latch (see original pic) does work.  I can manually push it back and lock it with my finger.  Then I can use the front door handle to unlock it.  But as I push the front door shut it seems like the door is not closing far enough to make the latch lock.  This is very strange as the door is closing all the way.  Its almost like the latch on the door is not long enough to push the machine lock latch all the way back to lock.

When I purchased the machine the seller had a couple others and all of them had the same issue.  So this made me believe that this must be some type of common issue.  Keep in the mind I purchased this machine wholesale so it was not shopped out.

I appreciate any help anyone may be able to give.
