You have an IGT S+ slant top slot.  They don't get a lot of love because they weight a metric ton.

Hello all,
I turned on my Triple Butterfly Sevens game today, and got a display netplex link down message on the display. looking inside I noticed the CPU board has no lit LEDs. I have 13.5, 6.2 and 24v at the CPU backplane. also removed the power supplies for inspection and nothing looked amiss. No loose connections either. It worked yesterday.

Could anyone lead me in other directions/places/whatever to check before I start thinking of a bad CPU? Any and all help most greatly appreciated!

IGT S and S-plus Reel Games / Triple D top box marquee message
« Last post by Bruce G on Today at 04:32:27 PM »
Hello friends.  I just revived this machine from the dead - and it's running like a champ.  I'm curious about the top box message display.  I'm unsure if the message can be set without an interface for the driver.  There are are a couple ports on the side of the power supply / driver chassis.  I'm unsure what these messages mean - and was hoping someone here could enlighten me.

Thanks!

If you wipe nvram and safe storage with the diag key, when it reboots it will go into initial setup and credits will be gone.

Had that happen a few times when the ticket printer wasn't set right and I didn't set it to be able to clear credits with the jackpot key.   :rotfl:

But that did it.

Bally Electromechanical / 831-4Z payout counter coil not working
« Last post by David Walz on Today at 03:05:23 PM »
831-4Z  payout counter coil is not working, that's the issue. The coil is fine I checked it out.

The 94 wire Is in the hopper plug #24 position.
The 94 wire is in the reels plug #22 position.

I don't have a wiring diagram W-1046-1838 to trace the wiring in the reels, to locate the defective switch. This machine was in excellent condition, very nice, just cleaned the grease off, it was working fine for a long time.
Anyone who has some information on this issue.

I followed all the wires from the printer and it all seems connected, I do have a green light on the printer and I do get a test ticket when I press and hold the button.

I just got an ekey7.
With that key, is there any way to remove the credits in the machine?   Most places I look, it says that no changes can be made with credits.

All help will be appreciated.

Thank you

The error in the picture is because the boot 2 chips is faulty or in backwards.

It was something but not sure what. Guess something from cleaning or flux under the game eprom in U21. Could clean it out with isopropanol alcohol. See picture.

But this wasn’t causing the issues. Think it was either the rams in U19 and U46 or the game proms in U19 and U46.
