Time Machine question
« on: January 04, 2017, 11:42:37 PM »
Trying to get a Time Machine game to come up. Getting a "Progressive protocol not set" error at end of set up. Wondering since it only offers a 86.09% pay out selection if it is a non stand alone progressive that I won't be able to get working for home use. Or is there a way to get around this. I could also just be doing something wrong in the set up since I'm not well experienced in the BB machines yet. Thank you, Gene

Are you using a TSE board as a fooler board?  I believe one is needed for this game to work.

I think what I have is called a BB 1.5, dual screen with a Nxt2 CPU. The game card does not have the original label. Is there a way to read the card number at boot up.  I could do that tonight. Thank you, Gene

As the machine boots up is should display the game card version, SC22-000-1000, just watch the screen for it.

Are you saying that a TSE Board is required to clear the "Progressive protocol not set" error?

No.

I think that is related to you're having the WAP version which will NOT work at home under any circumstances.

If/When you do have the correct SA version, you WILL need the TSE fooler board to run it....

Idesign, my cf is a SC20-000-1000, not a SC22, just 20! Is that not good news? Thanks, Gene

Not gonna work in your machine, don't know who you got the card from, and hope you didn't buy it from someone here on NLG,  but get your money back.

Thank you Idesign, sorry I don't know your first name. It is what it is. No big loss, it was just in with some stuff I bought from a slot business that went out of business. Thank you to you and everyone one else that tried to help. Gene

Where would you get a "fooler" card at anyway?   :Scratch-Head:

What games need it?

Thank you!

The "fooler" Device Steve mentioned is a metal case assembly with a circuit board that holds another cf  card. It connects to the main CPU  via rs232 serial data. Others I'm sure understand it a lot more but all I know is it works great. Got my game going thanks to everyone's help. (Thanks). The units are a bit scarce. If you look long enough you should be able to find one. I don't have a list of what games need it.

Didn't exactly find the problem yet. I subbed a working BV, rack & harness. When that didn't work I put whole game, cpu and tsetse into another "working" game and it's been working fine. Just got another back plane in the mail today. Will try that soon as I recover from the crud I came down with. Anyone know where the name tsetse came from and/or the reason it came into use?
