E2000 E Link Progressive Digital Display not lighting up
« on: November 05, 2014, 08:03:04 PM »
This is a E2000 and everything works fine with the machine except the display. It never did work since it left the Carnival Cruise Ship. I would like to get the display working for the Progressive Jackpot amounts. I believe this is a E Link Progressive  display. The display is Digital illumination . According to the manual there is a Master controller connected to a Slave board and the the slave boards are mounted in the machine. All the cables appear to be there and connected. The ribbon cables to the display board and the slave board, the power going to the slave board is firing a relay on the board, there is a pulse line from the coin in chime/gong to the slave board which is sending a signal each time a coin is inserted. There is a cable connected to the Slave board with 4 wires that I believe went to the master controller and there is 3 of these cables one from each Slave board that is chopped off and laying in the bottom of the cabinet. The Master Controller according to the manual, receives and transmits a signal to the slave board. Is the problem that these do not light up because it's lacking the Master signal? The operators manual does not have any wiring schematics only operator instructions . The slave board is AS-3130-4. I would like to find a wiring diagram for the E Link Progressive Display and figure a way to turn these on without the Master controller.

Hay there Sunrise.  Did you ever get some info on your progressive?
I'm playing with an older electro magnetic vane progressive controller and display that uses the AS-3901-4 board so I don't think I can help you much but you never know.

Cheers,

Mark
