Hi, I have a few heads that wont take new 100. I have used sts software to disable easy track, but when I try to read config off of an updated head, and load onto a different one, it does not change the firmware. Can the firmware be read off of the bill head, or do I need to buy that separately. Also where might one find a full user guide for the sts.

i went through this a couple of weeks ago.
you can not pull the firmware from one head and put it on another one. the most you can do is save the config(ie bill inhibits bezel ect ect).
your best bet is to find someone in your area that might be able to reflash it for you.
CPI/MEI does release firmware to people in the business but they have to make sure what jurisdiction it is going to(tribal has different rules , different states have different rules), thats why its not on their website.
according to our rep the nevada firmware is the least restricted firmware.
i know this post is a little older but wanted to share what i went through and what was found out.
