Title: Convert and 801 board to and 802.
Post by: Retro tech repair on March 23, 2020, 11:11:44 AM
I like many have temporarily lost my job so i have been playing with some of the machines and parts i have in storage i have discovered that it is possible to convert an 801 io board into an 802. I have said in a few posts the only difference is the 801 is locked to a specific address. You can unlock them very easy by removing 6 resistors off the back of the board. You remove r7-r10 and r13 and r15. I am attaching the following photos
1 modified area of the board
2 a stock 802 board showing top row lights working
3 a stock 801 board showing too row lights not working
4 the same 801 board after resistors removed showing the too row of lights working again
Yes i know i am testing this in an igame chassis but the s2000 and igame share the same addressing system for the senet devices and I don’t have a working double row deck s2000.
