Just picked this Alpha up, it has no no bill acceptor and no coin handling but it does have a TITO and ticket printer installed. I dont see any way to add credits so it can be played. Both of the 2032 batteries were dead on the MPU so it will have to be cleared & set back up. Since I dont see a credit button installed anywhere & no signs of one of the deck buttons being wired any differently, how do I set this machine up after a clear in order to be able to add credits so it can be played? Including a pic of the machine, the TITO and the inside of the machine where there would normally be a bill acceptor
-
TITO
-
Inside (right side)
-
If the TITO board has the credit options enabled, you can just hit the service button on the player panel to add credits.
-
The credit button is the service button on far left.
-
Ok, so can I set that up while programming or setting up the TITO? I've never set up a TITO before so is there a tutorial somewhere or a link I can go to to teach me how to do so? I thought TITO only worked if you had a bill acceptor and tickets to use from your printer

Thanks, so after my clear and I'm in the settings, what do I do about my bill validator, just enter no bill validator? Also does it make the button on the deck just default to add credits or is there another step that's not on the video?
-
No DBV = No DBV
It's a default for the button.
-
Thanks
-
So if I follow that YouTube video on setting up the TITO will it automatically make my service button enabled to add credits to play? It was probably already set that way but I had to do a clear because of the 2 dead 2032 batteries.
-
Yes.
-
Good deal, thanks
-
How do I enable the credit button options on the TITO?
-
The Tito board, if programmed that way, already has the credit option enabled. If you have a bettor tito standard, when you bought it, you had to request that the credit option be installed as an option, if you didn't, then the credit option will not work.
Bettor TiTO deluxe version does not have the credit option because there is not enough memory on the microcontroller used for the Bettor TITO to include both deluxe options and credit options.
On Brian's Tito board, it is usually a jumper or dip switches that you have to set to enable the option.
-
Ok, I will look at the board & see if it has a jumper or some dip switches, thanks
-
Here are 2 that I have, will either one of these work to use a credit button?
-
The one on left is programmed for $10.00 credit @ .01 acc denom(1K). Try pushing the red reset button in corner of tito board.
-
Igt and Bally tito's are wired different at comm board. Make sure it is for bally. Check the location of the 3 pins.
-
Not sure if it's for a Bally machine or not but here are the 2 plugs on it
-
Other end
-
That is for IGT. Don't plug it in a Bally without changing the wires first.
-
Other end
That is the power that plugs into service outlet on both types.
-
Here is pic of both IGT and Bally. Top is IGT:

So just move my pins to match the bottom connector? Then will it give credits by pressing the service button?
-
Yes it should.
-
Good to hear, thanks. I'm gonna clear my machine & try to set up the TITO when I get home from work. Other than the YouTube video on setting it up are there any extra steps I need to take to set it up to give credits with the service button?
-
Just follow his instructions.
-
Will do, thanks
-
The wires on mine are a different color, how should I move my pins in order for it to work with my Alpha machine
-
Other side of this plug connector
-
The pictures you posted in the beginning shows the TITO board connected. I can't figure out why you are introducing other connectors.
-
This is a different machine, I just happen to have these other TITO boards in my supply. This is for an American Original video Alpha machine that I can't get the crappy MEI bill acceptor to work, so I'm trying to find another option for adding credits
-
I moved the wires/pins to look like the Bally connector, like in the picture do that all 3 of the wires were side x side x side, plugged it into the 110 power & on the backplane at J9, did the clear & set up & the TITO part of the set up. Closed the door & now the bill validator bezel is lit & the service button is lit but pressing the service button is not giving credits, could I have missed a step?

I got a bunch of Tito boards off of Bryan for my s2000s and tonight I tried to setup my Alpha after battery change and a clear. I followed his and better slots instructions and video about 5 times and still the service button won’t add credits. Tested button, checked connections, swapped Tito boards still nothing. Any advice. Mine is a reel machine with s6000 software
-
Data cable is pinned different for bally.
-
I am stupid….. he did label the boxes and I didn’t look. It works now thank you
-
one is bally - one is IGT:
I already posted a pic once in this thread. :fryingpan:
