Title: Anyone ever come across this?
Post by: Hertz14 on May 18, 2021, 10:07:08 PM
Saying mass storage jumper isn’t present. Running a SSD, 4gb of ram. Machine has been off for about a week, now this error. Sorry it’s sideways, phone does that when I reduce the file size.

Power off, flip the little silver switch next to the USB ports where you insert ekey.

Switch is already in the up position.

Cycled to see if that made a difference. Still the same. I’m going to test the switch with a ohm meter and if that checks out, try a clear.

I got this error when I had the silver switch down by mistake.  It was solved by turning the machine off and then flipping the switch back up.  If you're still getting the error maybe your switch is bad or something related to it.

I thought the same, gonna pull the box out and ohm it out. Easier than clearing and enabling all of the poker games again. I also reseated the ribbon thinking that could’ve been it.

Strange that the switch would fail without being touched. I’m wondering if the ssd might have failed. To me that’s more likely than an untouched switch.

Can someone tell me if the switch up is closed or open? Either way, I’m not getting continuity between the top and bottom terminal leads on the back of the switch. I’m wondering if I could solder in a bypass?

Go for it, no need to have it turned off.

Turning the attendant key doesn't do anything?
That is what the red screen is saying to do?

It would go into a loop. I did a clear and that fixed it. Now I’m trying to identify the game(s) that maybe caused the issue. Or it was a fluke.
