Title: Alpha S9000E Ultimate Party Spin with Loose Pointer
Post by: dailey on March 30, 2023, 03:24:40 PM
I noticed that over time the pointer on the bonus wheel has become loose and has developed a lot of backlash. Inside the machine behind the dial, the pointer shaft has a hub and is attached with two phillips screws. It looks like one screw is loose and the other one on the other side of the hub is missing. I found the missing screw and wondered where it came from. Now I have the problem of replacing and tightening these screws.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience taking apart this top wheel assembly. It seems the only way to access the screws location. Is the pointer somehow removeable so I can disassemble and remove the dial face? The pointer appears pressed on to the shaft. Do I need to pull the entire top box assembly, motor and all? I haven't a clue how this assembly comes apart. I'm hoping for some tips here.

I havent had this setup for years, but I remember the Pointer has a cap in the middle (front) . If you remove that cap I think there was a screw in there. If you remove that screw the pointer comes off. Did you try that?
