Title: Newbie - Mystic Mermaid Configuration - Can't play - Mk6?
Post by: D.gee478 on April 07, 2023, 04:39:16 PM
Hey guys, I'm new here and to slot machines in general.

I think bur not entirely sure but I have a

mkv ser2 backpane
Mk6 main board
Mk5 driver board
Mystic mermaid game

I've sorted most the lockups besides 2.
-DEMO mode
-outside playtime.

In identification I get configuration not set (default)

Do I need the set chips I keep reading about?
Any help would be much appreciated.
And help identifying anything I have missed. I attached some photos.
 Thank you.

Hi Bud, did you have any success with this.?  I just bought a MKV (I think) Im also having issues, mainly with getting around QCOMM, Im not sure what I need and where to get parts.  If you have any contacts that would be great. I am in QLD.

Looks like you have S.A. EPROMs(game chips) and system BIOS

maybe why your stuck in demo mode...

needs to ring back to base maybe ( also the RAM like chip, is COMMs chip)

Yeah mate check my other forum topic posts it explains alot better.

But pretty much you have 3 options.

1. Find NSW game chips and a LAB comms board (possibly need hard meters)

2. Nz game chips and the qcomm emulator (only works with nz based games and unsure where to find software)

3. USA game chips. Set/clear chips and hard meters (hardest to setup games and the button layouts are different)

I'm sure if you have a good read through the forum someone will be able to assist.
