Title: Power supplies in a BB1
Post by: Yoeddy1 on April 23, 2023, 08:23:40 PM
Hi guys,

Remind me, how many power supplies are there in a BB1?  The one above the MPU which is 24v correct?  Are there 1 or 2 others?  The reason I ask is because on 3 occasions I’ve noticed that on a cold boot, my games will hang up on the loading screen and not make it to a “Ready” state.  If I power cycle the game again, it will boot up, so I’m wondering if a power supply is getting wonky.

I tested with an NXT 2 and an NXT 3.2 MPU…same behavior.

If it was a power supply, what kind are they, and which one should I start with?

Could it be a backplane?

Thanks,
Jason

There are 2 that the game uses for functions related to the mpu and peripherals.  The 24v that is on top of the mpu, and the ATX 5/12v that should be to right hand side under the validator assembly.
