Title: S2000 Bill Validator issue

I recently purchased an S2000 that had been sitting for awhile. Both batteries were dead and replaced.  The bill acceptor VERY rarely accepted a bill. The WBA12 SS transport was grinding and pretty loud. I ordered a replacement transport from Spin Inc.  The bezel would light up normally but would not accept bills. I then ordered a replacement bill head from Spin and now I get the blue ambulance light flashing on the bezel and the solid red X is on.  The bezel is blue and won’t even try to take a bill.   Anything else I can try? Thank you.

Have you tried to configure netplex since you made the changes?

Grinding is sometimes caused by a bad cash box.  Often i find the pin on the right side bent, loose or missing.  Sometimes it's just not pushed in completely.  Put your old transport back in, see if it functions more than the new one. Ensure the cash box is aligned of course.   
As for the new one, is it truly a flash unit wba12, or is there a chip socket in the bottom, wba13. If the software in the transport is not correct, it won't work. If your old and new both have removable socketed chip in the bottom,  then you can swap them to try. Also check the dip switches on the right side.

try the stand alone test that is the first post in the WBA section.  that will tell you what works and what doesn't.
