Title: MEI sc6602 to a sc6602UE question

Hi guys,

In my G23, I have an sc6602.  It’s an upstacker model.  I just got an sc6602UE head in the mail.  Can I I just pop one out and put in the other?  Just wanting to see if it works.  If I do that, will the machine need to be wiped again to see the new bill head?

You shouldn't need to wipe the machine. It will see the change,  and you will have to open and close the door.  You can check the version in the machine after it's in.

When I put the other one in, it cycles.  I even rebooted the machine, but it has all 3 lights on and shows the following version which is the same as the original.  Assuming the machine is reading the new head and not just storing the original’s version.

Anything else to do?  I guess it won’t work.

A 6602 is not a upstacker.  A 6612 would be an upstacker.
They both use the same firmware so the machine wouldnt even know any difference because the "UE" designation is just the harnessing.
