I need an E-1000 mpu board

Hello All,

Anyone have an mpu board for an E-1245 (I think) double progressive? My game has been having issues for a couple of years. When I turn on the machine, it shows “b”, but the battery is fine. If I flex the mpu a little, sometimes the error will clear. I e checked for cracks on the board and have found none. I resoldered most of the components on the board and that didn’t help either.  Once the machine warms up, it will play fine. 
 Any suggestions?

typically e-1000 machines have a piggyback ram board on the cpu, the push-on connection usually fail after time and usually the problem.

place a piece or cardboard behind the cpu board ( between the back of the board and the metal side wall of the cabinet), now you can push in on and twist the ram board, you should notice the display changing as you do this, if it does ,then the connections are the problem.

Alan, at KLAR in Las Vegas can replace the connections.

I resoldered all the contacts on the ram board as well. No help.  I’m at the point of just replacing the boards. If anyone has a ram board for sale, I can try replacing that before the mpu.

I probably have one but more than likely is not working as it has been in storage for ages.

I just ordered a ram board from klar. If that doesn’t fix my issue I’ll let you know. Maybe I’ll get lucky with the ram board, or maybe your mpu will be ok.
