What do I have & how do I fix it
« on: December 29, 2024, 05:02:47 PM »
I am new to this site as of this very moment. I'm having an issue with my slot machine. I have downloaded the manual for the Pro 6000. It seems to best represent what I have.
So, First question, Is this a Pro 6000?
Info on my machine Tag
Manufacture date: 02/01
Model: S63U3C6F0
Serial #: S010207078
When the unit is turned on this is what is displayed on the Win Paid - 88 5  and  47.5 is displayed in the Credit.
If I have the correct manual it appears to Have an MPU failure. I followed the procedure for a SafeRam clear and the unit would not go into the clear mode. The display screen never changed for me to select the Partial Clear mode. Any Help is appreciated.
Is there anyone in the NH area I could reach out to?

Thank you
Dan

It is a Bally S6000.  Can you post a picture of the  MPU? Need to see what  chips are in sockets U28 and U43, so we can determine if you need clear chips or not.

You will need a set of clear chips. NLG member RB Ronald Ball has them.

Check the battery for 3.6V If it is low, replace with a Lithium 3.6V AA. You will need very good soldering skills or have a reputable tech replace it so the connections don't become damaged on the board. Then do a clear. You can purchase the leave in clear chips , which are installed and never removed again , or the removeable clear chips that are inserted and then removed after the clear is completed and then reinstall the original chips. You can also mount a 2 AA battery holder with standard 1.5V Alkaline on the front outside of the metal tray with mounting tape and then change the batteries anually with the machine ON, and not have to deal with the clear procedures caused by dead batteries.
