Prepart DSS validation FAILDED with all keys. Halting..

I need some help.  Every time I try to clear WMS BB2 slot machine, I get this error message.  I have tried it on two different clear cards.  Does anyone have any suggestions to fix it?

Just to add, the Clear card needs to be in the OS slot on the right.

To answer this question:

Are you sure you had the clear card in the correct slot?   Yes, I had it in the OS area.  I have cleared out this slot machine many times without any issues with the same clear card.

There's two coin batteries inside the CPU.  Very easy to see.

But if you take them out, a clear card MUSt be booted in the machine to restore the NVRAM.

I don't think it's batteries though, at least not yet.  It would have other errors either before or after this.

I've only gotten that error when the OS CF card is bad.

Do you have another OS CF you can use?

Update:  I tried a new clear card.   Same error unfortunately.  Any other suggestions that you would recommend?

Also, if the clear card you're using worked fine in the past.  I've never had one just fail unless it was connected to a CF reader plugged into a Windows Machine that's running a Windows version newer than Win7.

If the CF card is connected to any Windows 8 or newer PC it will write a bit of junk to the CF card automatically when it's plugged in, and then it will fail like that.   Windows 7 (or earlier) won't do that.

The error message also reads 0 files on 0 volumes.  That is problematic, usually means the cf card is empty or corrupt.  You may also want to look inside the cf card slot in the mpu to make sure there aren't any bent pins inside of it.  Sometimes pins get bent so the cf card is not able to be read properly.
