Okay so the hardware is in place, the test tickets are printing.
I initially got a "Disabled by SAS - Validation not Configured" error which I resolved by changing the validation settings from SAS enhanced to SAS standard.
The BV would immediately reject printed vouchers.
After a keychip, I noticed that "No Redemption" was selected in the menu, my only option was "Bally Redemption", which I selected.
The bill validator will now accept the voucher and then think about it for about 45 seconds, but then spit it back out.
Where am I going wrong?

Set sas to system (not enhanced).

hahaha thanks for the reply!
I swear to Jesus I've tried every combination and keychipped at least 5 times in the process.
Is there a channel I should be using?
I could at least get the tickets to PRINT on SAS standard, I can't even get them to print now. Getting the feeling I need to keychip and clear everything and start over. I don't even remember what I've changed at this point.

Channel 3

Okay here's where I'm at..
Using SAS System Validation and SAS Standard I was printing blanks. I enabled system bonusing (legacy SAS) and now I can print test tickets with my name, location, time and date correct but when I hit cash out the game goes into handpay mode.
What's keeping the credits from transferring from the game to the voucher?

Double check that the printer is enabled.

I made a How-To a few years back.

Still no go. Is EZ PAY related to the process? I have an option that enables EZ PAY however it by default changes comm channels and uses SAS Enhanced
-
No, don't do anything with EX pay. Did you set the SAS Primary Channel Address to 1? COMM address is 3, SAS address is 1. I set the machine serial number to 1 and the Asset number to 1 too, although I'm not sure if that's necessary for it to work or not.

Problem has been found. Ribbon cable from PD box to backplane is missing.
