Title: Sigma Poker HR-IM
Post by: The Fatman on January 17, 2017, 12:45:11 PM
Model I 2211 is the machine I was working on with a friend of mine. My question is when I started on the machine, it had no power to the 12V PS and it was burnt up. Replaced it and got only a brief led lit and it dimmed and went out. Looked into the power and found that the main power switch was blown out so I replaced it. As soon as I powered it up, the led lit briefly and a pop was heard and then no power. Checked the switch again and it was blown out and not making connection inside when turned on. I am wondering if the wires on the switch were plugged in incorrectly and when turned on it blew it out.  I will need to go back and compare it to another machine next to it. But as of  now .... anyone out there familiar with this machine and problem. First Sigma I have worked on and with a limited solid state education, thought I would ask for help.

pictures would help,  does this have the two or three power supplies mounted up top?  that tray contains an isolation transformer and the power supplies. you should be able to disconnect the power output plug that feeds the rest of the machine.  from what I remember about the SIgma's, the power entered through a filter mounted to the back wall, it went from there to the power panel and switch, the 115 vac was then sent to the power supply tray.

I might have a book on the HR-IM poker machine, not necessarily your specific model  number, most applied to a B-52 poker machine.
