Hello all, I am new & just joined, I have enjoyed reading & learning about slot machine from this site, it is great. I hope you can help & guide me on my issue I have, I purchased a Universal- Double Thunder and the whole thing is glitching, the reel & display keep glitching when I power it up. Any idea what is going on? Thank you for taking the time to help me… I am trying to post a video or pics

Pictures would help, inside especially.

Thank You for responding, I am trying to download a video...

Universal machines had two main problems. first was a filter in the power supply, this would render the machine dead, fluorescent lamps would come come but nothing else, second problem was the varta battery, it would leak and eat up the traces around it.
try a power up reset, it is described in the universal section by UNIMAN.

if it is a battery, after you do a power up reset, a 12 will be shown on the top display.
I just fixed 10 of them and every one had a dead battery and showed a 13 but after power up reset I got a 12.
Damn batteries were $11 each.

I use these batteries.

Thanks for the link. NiMH batteries recharge just like a NiCad.
I was in a rush so got full AA size NiCAD batteries with wire leads and hard wired them in.

What is the best way to post a video, always says the file is to large...
-
This is a very quick video but it shows what the machine is doing after power up...

Post the video on YouTube and then share the link that will be the easiet way.👍

Are you positive your MPU board is plugged in all of the way?
Other than that it could be a bad cap in your power supply.
-
Thank You All for responding, I have removed the MPU multiple times & made sure it was seated to both back plain connectors, could this be a bad grounding issue? Linked below is the video showing what it is doing from the inside & outside, right when I turn it on.

Is sounds like your power supply is not filtering out all of the AC voltage it is suppose to filter.
You c\may need to replace the large caps in your power supply and look for a shorted diode on the full wave bridge.

Your MPU is not in it's case. Not a good idea! I would try a RAM clear but would be very careful not to short the MPU on something.
