Title: Alpha 2 and latest games

Hi all,
first off, Happy Thanksgiving.


it's been a while since I've been on here but I have successfully converted an Alpha 1 s9000 machine to an Alpha 2 Pro and I have a fairly updated OS (OS 362D) that can run MJKOP and Titanic properly.


I'm trying to get caught up to speed on what will still run on my machine beyond the two titles mentioned above. With SG taking over Bally i'm now a bit confused.


Also, has anyone successfully got Cheers or Friends to run on a converted Alpha 2?

I have cheers running on my converted alpha 2.  I don't have Friends to try.  You have a really old OS.  366J is newest I have seen.  You probably need to update bios as well.

It's been a while, thanks for the reply.


I ended up getting Cheers and it runs perfectly on my older OS. Yeah, I think Friends needs a dongle to run so i'm sure that one is much harder to run on our converted machines.
I do plan on updating my OS as soon as I get my hands on one, but I haven't gotten a game yet that actually needs 366j to run.

FYI Cheers needs a newer video card. I had an older video card and when Cheers loaded up the reel symbols were missing with black blocks. A newer video card fixes this issue.
