Title: Need some Help with diagnostic configuration button

need help with re-setting my BB2, the button is good but it does not turn on the setup and configuration menu.  I've areplaced and tested a new switch, but still nothing to let me access.  Any solution would be greatly appreciated.

When you open the door to the machine do you hear the beeps?  If the door switch is stuck in the closed position pressing the button will not get you to any menu at all.  You may have a bad door cherry switch, or disconnected wires to the switch.

Thank you, I pulled everything out and reinserted back, now it works.

Yeah, figured it was just that pesky door switch.

You mean you pulled the CPU and reinserted it?

That metal extender that actuates the switch gets dirty all the time and needs some wd40 to keep it flowing.  I have seen that so many times on machines I have worked on.
