Title: Is this a Signa Treasure Wheel?
Post by: Amechanic on February 09, 2019, 12:26:49 PM
I’m not up on Sigma machines. I have this one for sale near me. Do these still have power supply issues like the earlier Sigma machines did? Is there any special chips needed to bring them back to life?

Does the main board have SMD chips or thru hole?

That I do not know. The main boards right under the reels. That’s as far as I looked at it. They want $100 for it, but I think I could get it for a little less.

It’s complete with coin handling, just minus the bill head for a WBA. Sounds like it might just have a dead battery.

The "battery" is usually a Supercap. Try reseating the main program and graphics chips (clean the legs) and check the power header for corroded pins.

From my memory a Gal chip 0f 03 and above will reset with a battery change--Research that on the clearing process--It should be here somewhere.  As all other's of this nature you have to consider the top box module's condition to comm. with the lower and yes there are power supply issues but can be easily re-capped.  Good Luck.

Garry, As a note the bv you can run a wba 13 etc. in it but the duck bill recevier  is specific for those machines.  Had 6- Sigma/Mickohn SG-300's all yahtzees so have some have some idea of what's going on from my memory.  For a 100 bucks you will be ok.

Is that duck bill a hard thing to find?

Should not be to bad.  I know vegas area's had them as well as others in that not so long ago. It was probably running a wba in it but you could verify that by enclosure and can if there is one.

My earlier sigma had power supply issies, cap repair didn't help.  There were no PS I could find online, so using manual got over all power reqs, and ordered 3 doff voltage PS from eBay and Daisy chained my own, worked great!  Didn't cost too much either if you're willing to wait a few weeks and know how to do simple wiring.

Did you buy this? It's not on in the pic you posted, PS dead???  Tell us all about it.

And yes, that's the treasure wheel, the "twin" of this is the treasure tunnel which is concentric circles of lights . Bitg pretty fun to play imo.

Here’s an update. I found the WBA Duck Bill and Bill head for this machine. Just about done. Machines still flashes a comm light error or something like that. I replaced one bad small cap in the PS. I have located and picked up some bulbs too for the treasure wheel. I have 2 or 3 bad bulbs. I’d like to install door locks but this game uses a weird shaped door latch cam. Pic is of machine here cleaned up at my house.
