Title: How To Setup A Standalone Progressive - Konami Advantage+
Post by: mustangjeep on March 17, 2015, 03:03:57 PM
Hey guys I know a few people have asked about setting up a standalone progressive in the Konami advantage+, so here's the answer.
There are several standalone progressive games for the Advantage+,,, this is for "Cashway" but others like "quickstrike" are nearly the same setup.

(((You will need the standalone progressive game info. One eprom, goes into slot 8, and one 128mb compact flash card)))

A walkthrough step by step with pictures-

Step 1- remove the CF bonus game card from CF slot and install the RAM CLEAR CF card. PIC-1

Step 2- start machine and follow screen instructions, I'll assume your game was all setup before this and your adding the progressive chips, so select the button for saving previous saved data "BET MAX" button.

Step 3- go to "communication setup"

Step 4- in the "communication setup" menu go to the bottom labeled "progressive setup"

Step 5-in the "progressive setup" menu set as a "standalone" mystery controller as "none" and reward as "credits" Pic-2

Step 6- go back to the main menu and select "paytable setup"

Step 7- set currency and payout level desired - my machine was a $.25 game so I selected $.25 at 92.75% payout Pic-3

Step 8- on second page of "paytable setup" select button configuration on your machine Pic-4

Step 9- back on main menu select "extended game setup"

Step 10- set MAXI LEVEL "initial/current progressive meter value" to the same number as the "reset value" just below it in Pic-5

Step 11- set MINI LEVEL ""initial/current progressive meter value" to the same number as the "reset value" just below it in Pic-6

Step 12- escape the RAM CLEAR make sure it says to power down, then turn off the game, and remove the RAM CLEAR CF and install the progressive stand alone CF, in this case CASHWAY. Pic-7

Step 13- enjoy how your new game looks and plays after powering up again! Pic-8

Hope this helps any of you guys trying to figure this out.

Bud.

So who actually has these u8/cf cards for the progressive.  Is there just one set, or are they game specific?

The only compact flash cards I could get to work properly in my Konami’s were original Konami CF cards. Aftermarket CF cards only worked for the RAM clear card info.
I bought a large lot of Konami original CF cards someone on EBay had and cleared them and rewrote the bonus games on them.

Here’s a full game set of original Konami EPROMs and CF and quick strike CF on eBay-

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Ruins-Of-Gold-Konami-Software-STEPPER-PLATFORM-ROM-1-8-CF-U7-U16-1/132856939079?hash=item1eeee40247:g:jkoAAOSwvl9bw4k6 (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Ruins-Of-Gold-Konami-Software-STEPPER-PLATFORM-ROM-1-8-CF-U7-U16-1/132856939079?hash=item1eeee40247:g:jkoAAOSwvl9bw4k6)

The bonus game EPROM and CF are not game specific, so you could use this eBay one in any Advantage+ 3 or 5 reel game.

I personally like the bonus game called pirates loot or pirates treasure? Something like that. It’s more involved where you select the cards you want to flip for your bonus. Like jackpot party.

Also this is NOT my eBay listing, just something I saw that would get you rolling.
