Title: Con2 vs Con2i

Can someone tell me the difference between a con2 and con2i?

I have a progressive setup on some S2000's and it works great with the con2i but the machines just do not come up with the con2. The con2 originally had a v7 chip in it but I swapped in a v4.01 so I could change the protocol but still no love.

Can anyone help?

CON2i is for IGT, CON2 is for all others like Bally, WMS, etc.

Well that explains it. Any way to switch it? They do look physically different so that's probably a no.

Not easily, the files section should have a manual on the CON2 that shows the differences.  Not sure if the attached file is in there so I attached it here.  Pages 12 thru 16 show the different layout for the different versions.
