Title: TITO @ Home final closeout
Post by: bhinkley on March 29, 2014, 05:51:35 PM
Attention TITO fans.....  I have made the hard decision to stop offering the TITO @ Home system on NLG due to the cost of business and a deminishing interest.  What does this mean for you?  I am giving you one last chance to buy a system before they go away.  All units are $40 until sold.  I will be selling off approximately 200 board kits.  Hurry and order before they are gone.

For those users that are VIP customers of mine, I will continue to supply your needs as before.  I am just drastically cutting back on production.  Happy buying!

Yep I know.  :(  It was a hard decision to do this.  I love being able to help people get that feature, but I can't keep prices reasonable anymore and don't want to raise prices.

My TITO doesn't have any upgrades.  It is just the basic TITO with the free credits feature.

Here is an update on the closeout.  I still have a lot of boards, but will no longer be selling for bluebird or bally alpha as I have sold out of the parts for those cables.  If you are a VIP customer and need one of those I will still support, but I will need about a week to get the part and make the cables.  I still have a ton of IGT cables and have 11 bally 6000 cable sets left.

I'd like to install a TITO system in a Game King 6.3.  There is no ticket printer currently.  I don't have a key chip yet either.  Please advise what information you need from me.  Thanks for your consideration!

This will be the last post about the TITO @ Home systems.  The closeout is almost over.  I will be selling the boards only until the end of August or until I run out of them.  I have 5 Bally 6000 sets left, and about 170 IGT sets left available.  Get them before they are gone!  $40 per set plus shipping.  For those that are my VIP customers I will still be keeping small supplies on hand of the boards, but will need a little notice to make cables for each of your orders.

Just a quick question re: installing the TITO system. I know I have to do a Ram clear and key the machine. My question is do I do the steps before or after hooking up the TITO system?  :Scratch-Head:

Thank you for any help

You don't have to do a clear.  Just make sure you have no credits on the machine and key chip it.  If you do a clear, it will take you longer to get the machine going.  With keychip only, you only have to worry about the SAS settings.  If you clear it, you need to go through all the setup menus to make sure they are where they need to be to have a functional machine.  So if the machine is working as you want it now, just key chip it to add the TITO function.

Oh ok I didn't realize that, thank you Rickhunter. everything on the machine works as it should. I suppose I'll need the ram clear at some point when I have to change the battery

Thanks again

Just doing the key only is very hit or miss.  When testing before releasing the board most of the time it didn't work without the clear

Post by: rickhunter on June 20, 2014, 12:20:23 PM
I've been lucky then.  I've only done 2 IGT machines and it's worked both times.  On the Alpha's and WMS machines, a clear is necessary since you cannot re-do the com settings.

Good news for everyone that has IGT S2000 or IGame machines.  I have decided to continue offering the TITO @ Home boards for those machines only.  The unfortunate thing is I will have to raise the price to $65 a board, but will include shipping at that price within the USA.  Shipping timeframes will include a 2-3 day handling time due to my main job work schedule.  If you order 5 or more boards at a time I will give you 10% off the price as it allows me to order larger quantities of the parts at a time to keep prices lower on the parts.  If you are currently a VIP customer with me I will be keeping the price I have offered you directly the same as long as I can.

Title: Re: TITO @ Home final closeout
Post by: rickhunter on September 19, 2014, 11:17:43 PM
I don't have instructions but I know how to do it.  These can only be done after a clear.  I will take screen shots of the settings that need to be changed.  It is all in comm options setup.  You basically change everything to system validation from standard.

I have decided to start offering a different option on my TITO @ Home system.  I no longer produce the system itself, but I have decided that I could sell a kit to make the system.  If you wanted to solder the boards yourself I could make a kit with all the parts where you would just need to solder the board together with the parts I send.  I could do that for $35 each board for the kit to cover the cost of the parts, time to program the chip, and shipping costs.  This will not be sold as a business, but as a private individual that is selling something.  What this means is that you would not receive a copy of an invoice with it like you used to, and there could be some time before the order ships as I will not be able to keep much inventory on hand so you may have to wait while parts are ordered and received before I can put a kit together.

More info & what is W/kit
Title: Re: TITO @ Home final closeout
Post by: bhinkley on September 23, 2015, 07:55:53 AM
The kit would include all parts needed to assemble a board and cable set for IGT machines with the SAS protocol.  They will be identical to what I was assembling with the exception of them not being assembled. All you would need to provide is the solder, soldering iron, and time.

What's the asking price?
Title: Re: TITO @ Home final closeout
Post by: bhinkley on September 23, 2015, 08:29:43 AM
$35 a kit if I can get enough orders to place at once to order 40 kits at once. If I can't combine enough orders for that quantity it would be $45 a board kit
Title: Re: TITO @ Home final closeout
Post by: bhinkley on September 23, 2015, 12:17:03 PM
I have interest in 20 kits so far.  Only need 20 more to place an order that I can offer the $35 price for.  Please let me know by PM right away if you are interested so I can combine orders and save everyone money.

I would be interested in a TITO kit. Just wondering what type of soldering skills would be needed. I've done some in the past, but by no means a pro (more along the lines of needing a Soldering for Dummies book). Also, is shipping included in the price? Thanks.

Chris

Would have preferred to just purchase one or two at the $40+ price as was first posted. Wasn't sure I wanted to do this or not then, duh.
Title: Re: TITO @ Home final closeout
Post by: bhinkley on September 23, 2015, 01:31:42 PM
The soldering skills are quite basic.  All components are through hole components so you stick the parts through the appropriate holes, and from the bottom of the board you solder the parts sticking out then trim the excess lead.  Sorry o don't offer them assembled any longer.  I was just having to spend way too much time soldering for really nothing after the cost of the parts.  Shipping would be included in the kit price.

Are there kits for Bally S6000's ?
Title: Re: TITO @ Home final closeout
Post by: bhinkley on September 23, 2015, 02:38:32 PM
I don't have the part numbers or instructions anymore for anything but the IGT cables, but the board kits would run on a s6000 if you found the cabling to connect and the pin outs.
Title: Re: TITO @ Home final closeout
Post by: rickhunter on September 23, 2015, 03:20:50 PM
For the record, the cable for IGT and Bally Alpha 1/2 use the same parts, different pinout.  It would just be a matter of modifying where pins get inserted into the 5 pin flat connector.  I never had any Bally S5xxx/S6xxx machines, so I can't say either way.  For the WMS BB1/BB2 machines, it would require a DB9 instead of the molex 5 pin flat connector.
Title: Re: TITO @ Home final closeout
Post by: bhinkley on September 23, 2015, 03:27:56 PM
The S6000 uses a 40 pin molex that has power and data on the same one.  I just don't know which wires or the part numbers, but it can be done.

So its just a bare board with nothing on it and I would need to solder all the components on ?
