Title: What is this board?

In working on my S+, I found this board in the back just above the MPU on the right. It had nothing connected to it, just sitting there, enclosed with a black cover. What is it for? Does it have to do with the progressive?

Those are boards from the casino. They were used for player tracking etc. Nothing used in the home. A lot of the machines have them.
