Repairing S+ MPU's again...more like fiddling around with stuff.
Now, what is this red emitter LED lamp for installed on an S+ MPU at location: DS1 ?
I see it on the schematics but they do not say anything about what it's there for?
This is what I've done to try and solve the question...>>>
I have the motherboard on Frankenstein turned around with an MPU installed on it upon my workbench.
I've tried observing the DS1 LED lamp while playing the machine, but it does NOT light up the LED at any time.
( BTW the photo shows that there's no chips installed. I took the photo before I installed 2 known working ones...lol )
