Oh, so I downloaded the IGT KEY n CLEAR CHIP GUIDE to see which clear chip and which set chip is best for the S+... I know Barry from Fox Slots (who actually sold me the clear chip n set chip package on ebay about 2 years ago with directions which was PERFECT for me as a GREEN NEWBIE), still sells em too... Pricing at the time didnt matter, because I needed it fast n easy... But I didnt ever find out what ACTUAL chip I had for each. WHICH CLEAR CHIP IS THE BEST (has the most programming on it to denom change, validator enable, etc etc... Because here is what I am seeing:
Clear EPROMS: For All Current Game Themes
SET006 -S+ E-Square Clear
IVC006 -PE+ Clear CMOS/E-Square
IVC068 -EZ Route 8032 CVT Clear
IVC00096 -Vision Ram Clear
IVC00097 -Vision Ram/E-Square Clear (Replaces IVC00070)
IVC0103 -S+ CMOS (Ram)/ E-Square Clear
IVC0104 -S+ CMOS (Ram) Clear
CV0040 V.08 - EZ Route CVT Program
CSV0056 -Game King Ram/E-Square Clear (GME 1- GME-2)
Note: It is not recommended using a 16 bit RFA1.0024 in place of an 8 bit RFA1.0025, because
some games which are animation intensive do exhibit a performance degradation.
So which one do I want for my S+ machines? It would be silly to get one that just clears CMOS but not E-Square Clear (I dont even know what the diff. is, but why not get one that has both?) Like the IVC 0104 seems better than the SET 006 chip? Or am I comparing apples to oranges because the chips are made for different boards all together.... (they all say S+)

And which one here??? (obv. I know which one if I have one of the Pinball machines or Hit the Top/Little Devils/Top Dollar), but what is the diff between SET 015 and SET 005???
And, do you know if I bought this on ebay tonight that this is the best for what I am doing? ??? Or would I want a 026 instead of the 015 provided???

Set 15 works for what you need, to enable BV and set denom. I use SET90 whenever I do progressive setups only.
IVC103 does a total clear, but honestly I've only had to use it one time for a stubborn 61 loop. Most of the time I can clear any error by just swapping between major revisions of SP chips, like SP731 to Sp1271 and vice-versa.

Thank you. That information is for the S+ machines and I am wondering about the S2000 machines. My understanding is that the KEY chips for the two platforms are different. Is that correct?
