Title: Fortune Two Joker Poker Issues
Post by: cptdunsal on May 06, 2024, 10:47:06 AM
My machine was working fine. Now it doesn't accept coins. This problem is in the Coin Compareitor. If I pull the teeth back the coin will drop through and register. Ive checked as much as I can but can't find the problem. It also stopped making the "clicking Noise" I would hear when playing coins.I pulled the hopper, pulled and reset the boards,Reset the game. I used to be a Slot Attendant back in the 80-90 but Not a Technician. I feel there is some connection with what I did and the current problem or just something simple i Might be missing. Maybe I jarred something. I don't know where to look for the coin mech control. Any help would be great. Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

Have you been adjusting the sensitivity control on the front box of the comparator?
Considering the way the circuit is configured yo0u could prop the rake open with some folded paper and use it that way.
In the F2 system the coin ion optic (or switch) do not communicate with the coin comparator.
The comparator is only used to set the size of the coin.

I tried sensitivity control but I might try to play with that a little more. Any idea about the clicking, why it's not there anymore? You really can hear it when playing credits. It comes from the upper left. I'm guessing manual meters are up there? I want to thank you for helping me out.

Are you sure the clicking isn't the mechanical credits and payout meters?

I was assuming that they were some sort of mechanical meters. This problem is also effecting the Lockout. I can add coins during the actual game play. Is there something on the board that handles the lockout and these meters. I feel I shook something loose or maybe broke a wire. Without having to troubleshoot the whole machine I think its probably in one area.

Badbaud is probably the only person who knows the boards at that level. Im sure there is a lockout circuit but my FC allows coins to be dropped during play too….it doesn’t register the credit. Possibly something that was changed when the machines were pulled from casinos and modified for home use.

I didn't notice any Lock Out switches but that would make sense. Anyone know if there is a lockout on the Fortune 2 and if I might have done something to activate it? Direct me to fix this issue . Thanks.
