Door Open B. Bally v32 Tilt Issue! *RESOLVED*
« on: July 05, 2022, 05:56:26 AM »
Good morning.

I am currently having two issues with my Bally machine.

Bally: Alpha/v32 Cabinet
Game: Cash Spins
Error: Open Door B
Other Issue: No response from the first two bet buttons or LED lit.

I understand that there's a way to jump the wires for the what I've red 'Door B' is referring to the bill validator door (not stacker). The switch on this machine had the button rigged to stay always pushed in regardless if doors were open a cm or two. The motherboard on this system is the drawer model that uses these two very large button cell batteries. Game was working fine a month ago except for the first two bet buttons on the 11 button deck.

*Update*

I checked the switches and the codes I got when removing and replacing the connector to board and it seems my stacker and validator switches are working. The issue must be the Belly (top) door behind LCD but I've jumped the wire and still have this error. Can anyone who is familiar with teh v32 know my work around for Open Door B as this is the only error before game will load.

This is the switch for the Bottom of my machine where I access the drop box and where my where my printer, MPU, and validator are located. When I open this door I get Open Door M and when closed I am left with open door B.

The only switch not doing anything is the top switch. I changed the wings and even attempt to jump the two wires going in the top and no difference.

You have to release the door to the belly.  It swings down, look at my pic.

Thank you so much. Never realized the drop door was there. I see I don't have a switch but the said wires were spliced just loose in the pinch connector jumping the wires. Game loads now.

Thanks for telling me about the drop door. Now to figure out my button issue. The first two of five bet buttons have no response. Maybe the clip is broken or issue in the wire harness for buttons.

Thanks for the help. Issue has been resolved with the Door Open and the buttons. I took out the molex with for the button plug and the blades were black. I used a dremel to clean and copper the wings back to a shine and bare metal. I had to use electric tape to keep button harness solidified.

Many thanks from Big Chiefs.
