Title: Games Of Nevada MVP 14 Draw Poker Help
Post by: mike082078 on February 17, 2023, 02:33:23 PM
Hello......I am stuck and need help.  I have a MVP 14 Draw Poker Machine with a PCB labeled 1986 MERIT Inc MII CRT200 Rev F.  This machine is working 100% except when cashing out, it releases too many coins which results in a Coin Out Fault and "Call Attendant".  The only documentation I can find is a PINOUT diagram of the main harness and an owners manual for a MVP 17 machine.

I have done some troubleshooting:

When in the diagnostic menu, I test the hopper motor and it seems to work well.  It starts immediately on button push and the brake is applied immediately on button release.  This leads me to believe it is a problem on the PCB board and not a problem with the relay or motor on the hopper.

When game is actually playing and the cash out button is hit, the on-screen credits paid will count up correctly from the hopper's coin switch, without delay, but there is a 3-4 second delay between when the Credits paid hits the right number and when the hopper wheel power is cut.  It appears to be a delay because I can start the payout with an empty hopper and add coins (one at a time) and the hopper motor will stop 3-4 seconds after the last quarter is paid....without any errors.

Any advice on where to start would be very helpful.
