Title: Game Change from R-Board to
Post by: IFFV68 on April 07, 2014, 07:29:57 PM
Game Change from R-Board to ? regular piggy back board with game sound Simms??
As most know, some may know,
I have a I.G.T. 5-Reel 40-line-5 coin max per line, 200 coins max.per game.
I would like to do a Game change from a R-board to a regular Board # 7682810 with a Sound Smmis attachment.I have SG-363 to use.
 I have a Double 3x4x5x Diamond installed.
My main Board is a 1270. This game has a Piggy back R-Board with a Boot-Chip  RB00003 and below that is a S.B.001000. The label near where it says audio bank is a R000298.
I would like to change to a Double Lucky Strike. 5-reel-9line-10coin max. 90 credits max.
Question is,
If I have to do a Clear chip and a Key Chip, what are the ones I need?
I have a R?00001, Key, & a 45 Key, & a 224 Clear.
Please  give me some advice so I may know what I'm suppose to do with out jumping off my front porch. It's a 4in. drop.
thanks to everyone

For the R board you will use the rbk0001 chip if you switch back to using the r board. For the legacy adapter board you will use the 224 and 45 when switching to use it. I would try just swapping the daughter boards first and see if you can get away with just a jackpot reset key to clear the errors that will show up. Only run the clear and key if all else fails

regular piggy back board with game sound Simms?? --- YES

363s might work if not then some high 5 hundred series will .. seems like there are a couple of other proms that should be on there along with the base

it uses the 224 for a ram clear but doubt you will have to use it .. I think at worst case you might have to use the 45

I use 598's or 523's in 3Reel games, and 597's in 5Reel games.. (On 1270 Enhanced w/Legacy board)

I once got so fed up with reel tilts due to 363's in a 1270 board, that I called it quits.. I performed a swan dive directly out of my basement window.. Luckily I didn't get hurt, seeing the ground is level with the window. Lesson learned I guess, I put my 363's away.., saved them for my 500 series boards..

Hey Harvs....is the 597 for only like 2 or 3 different 5 reel games? I thought the 598 was for more of the common 5 reels....

True. I haven't had many 5R games lately, 597's are what I used in my last few I put together.. Cleo and DDrun I think..

I should drink more coffee before posting, ha (Like Ron says, I'm always 'ALMOST' right..)

The PSR for SG000597 & 598 are posted in the files section. 597s are for a few specific 5 reel games.
The Double 3x4x5x games would be great if there were some real enhanced sounds available. For that reason I prefer to run it on a 504 board with SG363s & no SIMM.

I tried 363, 523, 597, 598 I get thee closest with the 363 but get a SB Fly CRC Error and it came from IGT a SB100909.

With other SG chip sets I get System or Base chip errors.

I have my 5-Reel-9-Line Machine up & running.
After clearing out the R-Board & using the proper SB Chip. SB-101576. The proper SG--Chip. SG-100597.
It fired up.
I would like to thank the Following if it's OK. It would of never of happened without their assistance.
