Title: S2k BV issues

New to me machine, came without BV.

Installed a Mei cash flow with known working head unit.

Spools up correctly.  All 3 lights on, takes bill in test mode, won’t communicate with machine.

Replaced pcb, no change.

Tried replacing backplane, just in case.  No change.


What else can I try to get this unit working?

Does it have the correct firmware (ID024) installed?

Not positive,  but it works fine on an IGT G23.

I was thinking maybe it’s the connection at the back of the BV housing, or the harness to the backplane?

If it was connected via USB cable in the G23 then it was using ID028.  That may be your problem.
